Lord, we confess we are not so different from those crowds. We too cry out for salvation, but often on our own terms. We wave palms on Sunday yet struggle to carry our cross throughout the week.

Your Word reminds us in Philippians 2:5-8,
“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!”

Finding Strength in Today’s Struggles
Father, we pray for your Church worldwide today. Unite us beyond our differences.
Where we have become comfortable or complacent, rekindle our first love. Where we have grown harsh or judgmental, soften our hearts with your mercy. Where we have forgotten our mission, remind us why you have called us.
We pray for those who feel invisible and unheard, remembering that you see every sparrow that falls. We lift up those wrestling with illness, those facing injustice, those who mourn, and those who struggle to believe they matter.
As we move into Holy Week, help us slow down enough to truly walk this journey with you. Keep us from rushing past the cross to get to the empty tomb. There is wisdom to be found in each station of this sacred week.
Lord Jesus, you rode into Jerusalem on a humble donkey, not a warhorse. Your kingdom comes not through force but through love, not through power but through sacrifice.
As Isaiah 53:5 prophesied,
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Your path to victory came through surrender and sacrifice, challenging everything we think we know about power.
Palm Sunday Prayer – From Celebration to Reflection
We confess that like Peter, we often believe we would never deny you, yet our actions sometimes tell a different story. Like the disciples who slept in Gethsemane, we too grow weary in our watchfulness.
