Prayer for Protection – Fear not, for I am with you

My beloved Jesus,

I am dealing with feelings of insecurity and fear. I feel I am alone, there are so many traps around me, and I don’t have a safe place within me to retreat to and find strength.

Jesus, I need this strength to be able to move forward, to be able to confidently walk among people and face the challenges that life brings.

May my prayer for protection and safety touch you. Listen to me.

I read a psalm that encourages and comforts me:

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

Psalm 91, 1-7

Lord, I need your help now. I need your solution.

Nothing in this world is strong enough to hold on and defy the storms within.

Help me to reconnect with You in my heart.

Let nothing that happens around me distract me. Don’t let it upset me, even though everything inside me screams that it is dangerous, that I will fall and never get up again.

May I recognize these lies, my Lord, and rather listen to You:

Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will support you with my righteous right hand.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

I am yours and you are mine!

I love you and I trust you.
