A North Texas pastor found himself on the wrong side of the law. Terren Dames, the senior pastor of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship, was arrested on charges related to prostitution. The arrest affidavit details the incident that unfolded in early May.
On May 2nd, Dames contacted an undercover officer, posing as a prostitute, through a covert police operation. The affidavit reveals that Dames agreed to pay $150 for “full service,” a term commonly associated with sexual activities. Following the arrangement, the officer provided Dames with a location to meet.
True to the plan, Dames arrived at the specified address. Plano police were prepared and executed a traffic stop shortly after his arrival, aware that he had just committed a felony. When confronted, Dames claimed he was at the motel to meet a friend.
During the questioning, Dames experienced a medical episode. First responders arrived and noted his vitals were low, but Dames declined hospitalization. Despite his release at the scene, police seized his phone as evidence.
Dames had been a prominent figure at the North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship, serving as the senior pastor since 2015. However, his biography has been removed from the church’s website in the wake of his arrest.
