Lord,
in the silence of this morning, Your word cuts through the illusion of an easy life. You do not paint for me a path of comfort, but prepare me for the reality of following You.
You speak of hands that will be raised against me, of the betrayal of those who should stand by my side, and of the hatred of the world, which cannot bear Your light.
Yet You tell me at once that this will not lead to my ruin, but to my testimony. This is not a punishment, but an opportunity for my faith to shine.
You ask me to impress upon my heart that I need not prepare my defense in advance, for You will give me eloquence and wisdom.
Your word comforts me, saying that affliction is not the end of the story.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:19)
I know that all this happens for the sake of Your name. Yet it is precisely because I hold fast to You and know Your name that You give me this wonderful promise of protection.
“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.” (Psalm 91:14)
When adversaries rise up and fight against me, when I feel alone and helpless, I will cling to Your word, which assures me of Your presence.
“They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. (Jeremiah 1:19)
Lord, help me to choose You today, no matter the cost. I pray You, grant me Daniel’s determination, that I may stand firm in my faith, even when the whole world is against me.
Your word is realistic; You do not promise me an easy life. You speak to me plainly.
“You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 10:22)
Therefore, I ask You, change my perspective. Help me to see this hatred and persecution through Your eyes.
So that in my weakness, in insults and in hardships, I may find Your incredible strength.
“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)
This is not mere survival, but the path to the eternal crown.
“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12)
Help me to live out this promise, as a child of the resurrection, looking beyond present hardships toward eternal life with You.
Thank you, Lord, for this clear and powerful word. Grant me this day the steadfastness to gain my life through You and in You.
Amen.

AMEN!!!
Amen.
