Good morning, Lord. I come before You not as a beggar, but as an heir. Thank You for the gift of this day and for the title deed to my life, which You have sealed with Your precious blood.
Into this deed, You have written an incredible clause of authority:
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
Yet the enemy, like a persistent squatter in a house that is not his, whispers that this deed is not valid. He tries to convince me that I am merely a weak tenant, condemned to fear and uncertainty.
But You have already put him to public shame. His power is broken, for on the cross, You completely defeated him.
“He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.” (Colossians 2:15)
I confess, Lord, that at times I feel as though the walls of my soul are thin and fragile. Therefore, today I do not rely on my own construction, but on Your strength.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” (Ephesians 6:10)
When I am wearied by his constant knocking on the door of my soul and I need strength, I remember that You are the architect and guardian of this house.
Your faithfulness is my security lock. You are the one who protects me.
“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
Teach me to use the tool You have given me. Not with a loud argument, but by calmly pointing to the facts: to Your blood and to the story of Your work in me, which is stronger when I know I am not alone in search.
“And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” (Revelation 12:11)
With confidence, I await the day when this squatter will be cast out, finally and forever. Then Your promise will be fulfilled:
“The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” (Romans 16:20)
Therefore, today I do not step into the day with anxiety, but with the keys in my hand, aware of my inheritance in You. You are my Lord and my fortress.
Amen.
