Lord,
before my child steps into this new day, I ask You to place a shield of Your grace around their heart.
Lord, I know that the spirit of the antichrist is spreading with lightning speed, preying upon the vulnerability of my children even in their earliest years. What may have befallen me in my late teens now attacks children as young as nine or ten.
I know that my child has a spiritual enemy who seeks to lure them into his lies, into hopelessness, into depression, and into the belief that they are the center of the universe.
Please, do not allow a single evil seed that the enemy sows in their soul to sprout and grow unnoticed.
I pray that they will resist this pressure and live according to Your word:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
Help them, Lord, to run their race, unburdened by the lies of this world.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1)
Father, grant me wisdom. Father, give me wisdom. So that I may know if my child is in the right environment: school, activities, among friends …
Do they feel accepted, loved, and seen there? Do they truly feel Your love and acceptance, so they will not need to seek validation in gangs or cults? I ask You, please protect the path of my child.
Reveal to me if they are in an environment where they are being bullied or abused, where they are becoming dejected, frightened, and without hope.
Give me the courage to make a change, even if it requires a sacrifice from me. I desire for my child to be separated from all that is unclean.
“Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate, says the Lord, and do not touch what is unclean, and I will welcome you.” (2 Corinthians 6:17)
The days are truly evil, Lord. Therefore, I ask for wisdom for my child and for myself, that we may know how to live prudently.
“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise.” (Ephesians 5:15)
Help us to make the most of every moment for Your kingdom.
“redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:16)
Thank You for giving me the most powerful weapon—prayer. Thank You for reminding me that I am not a helpless observer, but a prayer warrior for the life of my child.
My prayer is a battle, and today I fight with a faith that proclaims, I believe that you have already done it.
Remind me that my prayer is not in vain but has immeasurable power in Your Spirit.
“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:16)
Therefore, today, in faith, I claim my child for Your kingdom. I declare Your promises over their life. I believe that You hear me and are already at work, even if I cannot yet see it.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
