Lord,
I am here, before the day truly begins, before the emails and obligations pour in.
A list of tasks, worries, and conversations that await me is already racing through my mind. I long to stop this carousel for a moment.
Your Word promises me that true peace is found only in You:
“For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.” (Psalm 62:1)
Therefore, I now consciously pause. I do not wish merely to sit in silence, but to make space for You. This is my decision for today:
“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.” (Psalm 29:2)
My glory for You today is not in grand words, but in the simple acknowledgment that all is Yours. This cup of coffee, the air I breathe, the strength in my hands.
All this exists because of You and for You, as Your Word says:
“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” (Colossians 1:16)
Today, may it truly be You a king of my heart, and not my own plans or fears.
“Exalt the LORD our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!” (Psalm 99:5)
Lord, today the noise of colleagues, the pressure of deadlines, and the constant notifications on my phone will try to entice me away.
I will so easily forget this morning’s certainty. Please, help me to find the end of the thought spiral and return to You.
Remind me of Your firm and yet liberating call: “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)
This is my plea and my resolution for today: to let go of the things I cannot control, and to remember again and again that You are God.
Amen.

AMEN!!!
