Lord, what if today, instead of trying on my own once more, I were to simply surrender everything to You?
I confess, Lord, that at times I have lived my faith merely as a set of rules, without a personal relationship with You. I am coming to realize that in this pursuit, I have missed the very essence of it all—You.
Thank You, Jesus, for You did not die to lay new burdens upon me. You died to offer me something infinitely better: an intimate, personal relationship with God through faith in You.
Lord, today I lay my heart before You. I need Your love. I need forgiveness for my sins. I need a Friend who will help me in all that I do.
I need a future and a hope. I believe that You are my answer.
You are waiting to make me a completely new creation, to bestow upon me a life I could not even have imagined for myself.
Lord, I no longer want to do the same things and expect different results. Today, I want to choose You.
This is the most important decision of my life, more significant than my career, marriage, or money. I desire to have You on the Throne of My Heart.
This is a decision that extends into eternity. Help me to understand that death is not the end, but merely a passage into a new realm of existence.
I want to know where I will spend eternity, and I desire to spend my eternity with You.
I know that I cannot earn this salvation through my own actions, but that it is Your gift.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Therefore, today, I make this decision in faith.
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
I believe and profess that You are the only way.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
I accept You, Jesus, as my Savior. I desire this new birth, this relationship with You that begins today and lasts for all eternity.
I desire this to be for me a true End of Looking Back.
Let the old within me pass away, and let all things become new. Thank You for taking my sins and making me righteous before God.
Thank You for accepting me, for forgiving me, and for making all things new within me. Into Your hands, I surrender this day and my entire life.
Amen.
