Morning Prayer for Today – Thank You For The Cross

Lord Jesus,

You are the reason for our celebration this season. Thank You for offering up Your sinless life as an atoning sacrifice for my sins, a display of Your love for me.

Thank You, Lord, for setting aside Your heavenly glory. Although You are God, you came and lived the life of a servant, the Creator living as creation. 

You did all these so You could willingly give your perfect life as a ransom for a wretched sinner like me, paying the price for all the sins of the world so we can be free.

Your Word says in Hebrews 9:12:

And not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all time, having obtained eternal redemption.

Thank You, Lord, that Your finished work on the Cross made it possible for me to receive your eternal life and have a personal relationship with you.

Through your sacrifice, a wretched and helpless sinner like me experienced redemption, forgiveness and the acceptance of the Father to become a saint in His family.

Lord, I pray that everyone around me will see your light this season, embrace the truth of the Cross, and be set free to walk in the path of redemption.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
