Morning Gratitude Prayer to Thank God

Faithful Lord,

The Psalmist declares my testimony in Psalms 124:2-8:

“Had it not been the Lord who was on our side when people rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive when their anger was kindled against us;Then the waters would have flooded over us, the stream would have swept over our souls; then the raging waters would have swept over our souls.”

Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us to be torn by their teeth. Our souls have escaped like a bird from the trapper’s snare; the snare is broken and we have escaped.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Father, thank You for being faithful to me, my family, and everyone around me. Thank You for preserving us from the beginning of the year until now.

Thank You for deliverance from enemies, both seen and unseen. Thank You for shielding me from words spoken in anger, from betrayal disguised as friendship, and from situations that could have led to my downfall.

When I was unaware of the dangers lurking ahead, You stood as my defender. When I felt weak and unsure, You strengthened me beyond my own ability.

Thank You for the storms and the victories You gave me over them. Lord, there were days I thought I would break, moments when fear, doubt, and anxiety tried to drown me, yet You lifted me.

You have been my refuge when my heart was heavy, my wisdom when confusion clouded my mind, and my peace in the middle of chaos. When stress from work, family struggles, financial burdens, or health concerns tried to overwhelm me, You were my anchor.

Thank You for Your mercy and grace, for they have been my covering in moments of weakness.

There were times I made mistakes, spoke when I should have been silent, doubted when I should have trusted, hesitated when I should have moved forward in faith.

Yet You did not cast me away. Instead, You gently corrected me, guided me back, and poured out Your mercy anew every morning. How can I ever thank You enough?

Thank You for answers to prayers, even those I didn’t recognize at first. Some doors closed, and I felt disappointment, but later, I understood that You were protecting me.

Some opportunities seemed delayed, but in hindsight, I see they came at the perfect time.

Lord, You know the desires of my heart, the silent prayers I have whispered in the middle of the night, the tears I have shed when no one was watching. You are the God who sees, who hears, and who answers.

Indeed, if You had not been on my side, I would not be here today.

There were battles I did not even know were being fought on my behalf, challenges I overcame only because You made a way.

Thank You for being faithful, even when my faith wavered. Thank You for standing by me when I questioned, doubted, or felt unworthy of Your love.

Your word says in Ephesians 3:20-21:

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

To Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Thank You, Father, for all that is to come. I know You are doing more for me than You have already done. I may not see the full picture now, but I trust in Your perfect plan.

I lay my worries, my dreams, my struggles, and my hopes before You, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or imagine.

Let Your name forever be praised in all generations. May my life be a testimony of Your goodness. May my words reflect Your truth. May my actions bring glory to Your name.

Let my faith be unwavering, my heart be filled with gratitude, and my spirit be continually renewed in Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
