Morning Prayer for Today – Still My Fears

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for always being with me, keeping me safe, and answering my prayers when I call. 

Help me always to remember that no matter what I face, you are greater than them.

I am reading your word in Mark 4:37-39:

And a fierce gale of wind developed, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling with water.

And yet Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him,

“Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 

And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm

Lord, when the enemy sends threatening situations that cause fear, you nullify and render them useless.

So, Lord, I turn to you as my hope. Please, rise and bring peace to my storm. Take away everything causing me to fear and panic today.

I submit my fears and storms into your hands. Take charge of them and give me your rest.

I trust that when you speak, it happens no matter how long it takes. So, I will no longer panic.

Thank you, Lord.
