Morning Prayer for Today – Lord, Keep Me Safe

Father God,

I choose to worship you because you deserve all my praise.

Lord, your presence is life to me. Here, I find peace and rest from all the chaos around me.

Although my city and nation are affected, I will not be afraid of crises with you by my side.

Lord, you are my safety, and I know you will save me both now and permanently.

I am contemplating your word in Isaiah 59:

No one sues righteously, and no one pleads honestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to disaster.

Their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of wrongdoing, devastation, and destruction in their paths.

Father, so many things are happening today, and it seems that crime and evil are free to run unhindered.

Everyone seems on edge because of the level of insecurity all around. 

Yet, Lord, I remember your promise in Psalms 91:

A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you.

You will only look on with your eyes and see the retaliation against the wicked.

No evil will happen to you, nor will any plague come near your tent.

Therefore, Father, please keep my loved ones and me safe from harm’s way as we go about our activities.

Place your safety mark on us to keep us from dangerous situations now and always.

In Jesus’ name, I pray.
