Morning Prayer for Today – Let Me Love Like You

Loving Father,

I thank You for being such a loving God and Father to me. I am grateful for the gift of your Son, Jesus, who gave His life as the substitute for my sins on the Cross.

Through your every work in my life and every testimony from your word, I have learned more and more about your love and passion for me.

You always reach for me with love, grace and mercy, even when I go after my own way.

I agree with your word in 1John 4:19:

We love, because He first loved us.

Lord, by myself or by what the world teaches, I would never know what love is. But you have given me the grace to walk in it by all you have done for me.

I am contemplating your word in John 14:15:

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Lord, I am praying for the power of your love to grow in my heart and help me walk in obedience to your word.

You have said that one of your greatest commandments is for me to love others and treat them the way I want to be treated.

Therefore, Father, give me the grace to let the love you have shown me flow to others. Let those around me learn more about you from how I show love.

Give me the grace to reach the hurting, pray for the sick, sympathize with the disadvantaged, and help the helpless.

Help me talk about Jesus through love and compassion for the souls of those who need the message.

Please, let me love like you, not how the world wants me to love. Let me give without selfish expectations or outward recognition, just like you do.

Thank you for giving me grace in abundance today and permanently.
