Father,
You know me better than I know myself, and as my Father and Creator, you made me unique for a reason.
I am constantly learning to use the different abilities you have given me to glorify your name and help myself when needed.
I pray for your help, especially with how I speak with others.
I know that the tongue is a powerful element that can bring healing or destruction depending on its use.
I agree with your word in Colossians 4:6:
Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

Lord, let my mouth be under the influence of your Spirit and not under the absolute authority of my emotions.
Let my words heal and not wound others.
Let my words lift up and not throw down.
Even when I am upset, please, let me not allow dangerous, wicked, and insensitive utterances from my mouth.
Let me always speak with wisdom and discretion, knowing when to speak and when not to.
You are also saying in Proverbs 18:20-21:
With the fruit of a person’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied; He will be satisfied with the product of his lips.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Please, use my mouth to bring hope, new ideas, innovations, salvation, healing, and support to others.
Let my mouth help me grow in my profession and business, and let it help my relationships to flourish too.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
