Dearest Father,
Thank you for the gift of life to my loved ones and me again today.
You are constantly flooding us with your kindness every morning, and I just want you to know that I do not take it for granted.
Thank you for another opportunity to pray now, Jesus.
I ask that you help me pray according to your will through your Holy Spirit.
And as I pray, Lord, open my heart to more of you.
Jesus, I want to begin by praying for the steadfastness of my heart and the heart of every believer in faith, especially in these last days.
You spoke through your servant Paul in Galatians 3:1-4,
O stupid Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?
I want to learn only this from you: did you receive the Spirit from works of the law, or from faith in what you heard? Are you so stupid?
After beginning with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh? Did you experience so many things in vain?—if indeed it was in vain.
Father, I must confess that sometimes, I forget that I am saved through faith in Jesus and not through my laborious effort.
I sometimes depend on my good works for righteousness so much that I forget what trusting you feel like.
Jesus, let me not forget that you are God’s greatest gift to me.
Let me not forget where you brought me from and the light you brought into my life.
I am reminded of this in Luke 1:69-71,
He has raised up a horn for our salvation within the house of David, his servant,
even as he promised through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old: salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,
Sweet Jesus, you are the fulfillment of all of God’s righteous demands.
You brought me into a beautiful relationship with the Father.
Do not let me ever forget that I only have life and strength when I depend on you.
Jesus, I sincerely ask for your help because you said I should always feel free to do so.
You said in Luke 11:9
“And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Therefore, I ask on behalf of every believer for you to continually open and keep our hearts fixed in faith.
Don’t let us reach a point where we feel we can do anything by ourselves without you.
Lord, by ourselves, we are only weak, but with you, we are unstoppable.
With you, all things are possible.
Father, strengthen us today to stand when others are falling.
Let my life never lose sight of Jesus. Let my faith in Him build me up to be a blessing to the world and a faithful servant in your house.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
