Generous God,
may this day be an opportunity for me to learn the wisdom of Your abundance, where giving does not mean loss, but rather leads to blessing.
Help me to be ever mindful of Your hand in my life, and never to forget the source of my strength and my prosperity.
“You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy 8:18)
Lord, I confess that my heart at times clings to material things. I fear scarcity, I worry about the future, and I forget that You are my one true treasure and my only real security.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)
Today, You invite me to test You in faith. Not because You need anything from me, but because You desire to set my heart free. You invite me to return to You a portion of what You first bestowed upon me, and You promise a blessing so great I can scarcely comprehend it.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10)
I desire to be a generous giver, Lord. I do not want to give grudgingly or out of fear, but with a joyful heart, because I love You and trust in Your divine providence. Please, shape my heart to be like Yours, that I may learn to give freely and with love.
I long to learn this disposition from You, and so today I join my voice to this Petition to the Generous Father, that I might become more like You.
“They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.” (1 Timothy 6:18)
Your promise is that he who gives will also receive. This is not a transaction, but the very law of Your kingdom, where the love we give is multiplied and returns to us.
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25)
Therefore, today I surrender to You my fears of the future and of scarcity. I resolve that I No Longer Try Alone to control everything. I trust that You will provide for me and my family, for You are a faithful God.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your immeasurable goodness. May my life, my work, and all that I possess be for Your glory this day.
Amen.

Amen ❤️
